"I’ve been using Betcris for years without major issues, but a recent incident has made me seriously reconsider. I placed a bet on a horse at 11/1 (SP) for £20 on an English track, and Betcris used the Tote payout system. The horse won, and I should have been paid £240 (11/1 odds), but to my shock, I was only paid £130 – effectively 11/2 odds.

After contacting customer service, who seemed clueless about odds or gambling, I was told this was the final payout. Despite providing 10 screenshots from official racing sites showing the correct odds, I was met with excuses about conversion rates and minimum bets. No resolution was offered, and they refused to investigate further.

I’ve forwarded this issue to the Maltese Gaming Commission, as Betcris seems unwilling to address it. They have avoided any real human interaction, and I’m left wondering how many other people might be shortchanged like this. Extremely disappointing experience with Betcris."
