I had my account closed by Smarkets because I refused to provide excessive personal information, including detailed bank statements, which I felt was unnecessary. This company’s approach to customer verification is intrusive and unprofessional.

In addition to this, the service has been fraught with issues:

Daily technical problems, including live video failures and messed-up odds.
Free bets that were not credited as promised.
Extremely low bet limits and poorly managed sportsbook operations.
Traders who seem clueless about their own offerings.
Despite numerous apologies, the problems persist, and the overall experience has been highly disappointing. I’m better off moving on from this poorly run company.
