Smarkets experienced a significant outage, leading to a frustrating situation where my in-play bets were not processed correctly. During the crash, I placed an additional bet, only to discover that the original bet had gone through despite the platform’s failure.
Customer support was unresponsive, and their policy quotes like “Smarkets is not to be held responsible for the consequences caused by the breakdown of any device or software” offer little consolation.
This incident resulted in financial losses, as Smarkets admitted the issue but provided no resolution. I will be avoiding Smarkets in the future due to their unreliable service and lack of accountability.
